Young Divinity (Teenagers)

Young Divinity is our church youth group that uses film, music, drama, cooking, meditation and reading to provoke lively discussions about what it means to be a young Christian.

We have made pilgrimages to Rome, and Walsingham in the past, and look forward to planning more in the near future.

If you are interested, please get in touch.

Children's Ministry

Children’s Ministry is for children over 4, and meets in the community centre for the first part of the mass (up to the Peace) on three of the Sundays in a month. The children arrive before the service at our community centre on Frederick Crescent (just behind the church).  They take part in worship and activities designed for them, which are based around the readings of the day and the season of the year.

Crèche

SJDK crèche is provided for children up to four years old in the Deedes chapel, which is on the right hand side of the church.

It runs three weeks every month from the beginning of the morning mass until the Peace when all children are returned to parents for the rest of the service.

There are toys to entertain and each week some simple craft activity is available which links to the theme of the service.

Our aim is that young children enjoy coming to church, learning simple truths about God’s love for them, and for parents to be supported in worship.

Please contact the SJDK Parish Office for more information (sjdk2012@yahoo.co.uk).
