St John the Divine Community Centre, located just behind the church at 21 Frederick Crescent SW9 6XN, is available to hire for your special event of up to 100 guests. The hall has been hired for birthday parties (for children & adults), Quinceneras, Wedding Receptions, Nine Night/Wakes, Charity Dinners, and more.

Hall Hire Rate
£50/hr + £200 refundable deposit
This rate includes use of hall, kitchen, women’s toilet, men’s toilet, and disabled toilet on the ground floor, as well as 10 rectangular tables & 100 banquet chairs.
*You must provide your own chair & table covers and all decorations.
Hall Hire Terms & Conditions
*Refundable deposit of £200 is due at the time of booking. This will be refunded within 3 working days of the scheduled event (unless additional charges need to be deducted for extra time used, extra cleaning required, or damage to the property).
**Payment of your total invoice is due 7 days before your scheduled booking.
1. All events must begin and finish at the agreed time (including time required for clean-up after the event), no later than 11pm.
2. The space must be left clean and tidy (in the condition you found it), including the carpark.
3. All tables and chairs must be wiped down and stacked in the cupboard.
4. The front door must be kept locked or supervised at all times.
5. When vacating the premises, ensure that all doors and windows are secure, and that all lights and equipment are turned off.
6. No smoking is permitted within the centre. Smoke detectors are in operation.
7. No Alcohol must be sold on the premises.
8. Ensure that guests do not throw rubbish into the grounds of the church or neighbouring properties.
9. Events must not extend past their agreed time in the carpark.
10. Noise levels must remain within the room, not exceeding local government guidelines. Noise must not disturb neighbours around the centre. It is your responsibility to ensure that your guests (both in the building and car park) do not create a nuisance for the neighbours who live around the centre.
11. Under no circumstances should the crucifix in the hall be touched, tampered with, or covered in anyway.
12. Under no circumstances should the pianos or organ be moved out of the hall or tampered with. They may be covered.
13. St. John the Divine Kennington is unable to accept liability for damage to or loss of personal property belonging to the hirers or their guests.
14. SJDK reserves the right to cancel a booking on a particular date if an urgent and unexpected church need arises (such as a funeral). Such cancellations will be kept to an absolute minimum, with as much advance notice as possible.
